Pedestal

The Potters’ Arts Guild was officially established in 1904 to provide an essential source of creative and economic support for the local Compton community. Run as a guild, the workers had financial investment in the business.

This pedestal had many functions and could be used as a support for bowls, bird baths or sundials. This example was made using grey clay that the potter had to outsource, which resulted in extra costs due to transport.
