Sculpture by Valeria Manfredda, a student of Professor Roberto Priod, made with various materials, water, wood, stainless steel, sound devices, motion sensors.

The title wants to emphasize the trauma that followed the closure of the water channels in Milan but also the indissoluble and innate, almost magnetic link between man and water, a reciprocal influence that slowly led to a detachment but which has never been completely eliminated and the ability of one to condition the other.

The city of Milan, in the past, was almost entirely crossed by canals and watercourses. It was this element of the urban environment, of its rhythms and habits. While today the Milanese have lost the memory of that time, they have never forgotten the close ties; the water has been hidden from the sight but has been able to find new resources and new ways to flow and survive. In this work water reacts to the passage and the presence of people.

Through a sound triggered by motion sensors. It begins to vibrate and resonate cavernously as if the sound comes directly from the ground where it flows. Changing geometries are created on the water's C5surface.
