Kelvingrove - A Museum of Empire
The following audio tour was produced as part of the City of Empire display and co-curated with the Our Shared Cultural Heritage changemakers group, a group of young people exploring the shared cultures and histories of the UK and South Asia.
Glasgow City of Empire explores some of the ways Glasgow's past and present is interwoven with histories of slavery and empire.
The display also raises key questions around how these histories impact galleries and spaces across Kelvingrove and are not isolated to any one particular space. This tour reflects on this, by exploring objects from across the museum and their connections to slavery and empire.
