Candlestick (1894)

Tin candlestick with a hook for hanging it on chair backs. Circlular base with hollow shaft rising from the center and ending in a flared drip catcher. A hook extends from the drip catcher and could be used for hanging the candlestick on chair backs, etc. On the side of the shaft is a button which attaches to a lifting device used to raise the candle stub. Candlestick has slide.

Provenance Narrative Belonged to great-grandmother of the donor. The great-grandmother was 94 years old in 1926....
