Design for a Tureen
The circular vessel is supported by two caryatides and in the center by a man shoeing a winged horse. The base rests on seated sphinxes. The vessel is banded by motifs of gryphons, and the handle is in the form of three-faced Janus with a ring through its mouth. The finial is in the form of a kneeling putto giving a swan of drink from a cup.
