The Late Baroque design of the desk emphasizes its form and silhouette. The desk has cabriole legs with pad feet and inside there are small drawers and a series of pigeon holes. Made in Southern New England or New York.

This desk-on-frame was probably made in Southern New England or New York Recent examination of the woods used in the interior of the desk, reveals white pine and white cedar. Though white cedar is found only as far north as New Jersey and Pennsylvania it is found employed in some Southern New England forms.
