Feliciana a parish in Louisiana formed in 1810 and split in 1824 into east and west, once considered Spain’s West Florida colony. Feliciana is a Spanish word for “happy land”, it said that the name originated from Felicite, the wife of Don Bernado de Galvez, the governor of Spanish Louisiana.
