Set of 18 dinner plates

London, England, United Kingdom

These dinner plates come from two of the most prestigious goldsmiths' business in early 18th-century London. Paul Platel and David Willaume were both immigrant craftsmen who arrived in London from France, from Lille and Metz respectively, bringing new styles and technique, but established highly successful workshops.
