The Shape of Time: Korean Art after 1989

Uncover the stories behind the artworks in The Shape of Time: Korean Art after 1989 through the voices of the exhibition’s curators, artists, community members, and narrator Nydia Han from 6ABC in Philadelphia. You’ll encounter pieces by contemporary artists of Korean descent who came of age at a time of rapid change in Korea. The Shape of Time offers a nuanced presentation of the vibrancy and complexities of Korean culture, grounded in the personal experiences and anxieties of artists that are at once global, and yet distinctly Korean.

You can experience the artworks in any order you like, but this tour suggests one pathway you may take. Some stops have additional images and written information.

Available in English, Spanish and Korean.

Organized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
