Survivor

More than twice as likely to experience violence than any other demographic, one in three Native American women is sexually assaulted. 67% of these assaults are perpetrated by non-Natives. The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women movement rose in response to this epidemic: native women going missing or being killed. Chosa’s Survivor depicts the now iconic red hand over the subject’s mouth, delivering a powerful message, her voice will be heard.
