George Brooks

George Brooks

1925

George Brooks’s family came to Canada from Czechoslovakia in 1931. He studied sculpture at the Beaux Arts School in Montreal, apprenticed with a few local jewelers, and then opened his own store to sell custom designs. In 1962, Brooks moved to Santa Barbara, California, where he continued to create and sell original jewelry. He never cast or mass-produced pieces, but made each one on commission.
