A Winter Landscape with the Pont du Rhone, Lyons
An ice-bound river, spanned by dilapidated bridge, at end of which is a ruined mill, with water-wheel, and other buildings. Snow-clad mountains in distance. Two men, watched by two children, are engaged in breaking the ice; and on the road, at river-side, a man on mule, and a foot traveller in red cap.
