Dagger With A Hilt

Dagger with a hilt embellished with rich floral decoration of painted enamel. The flat finial of the hilt forms a flower, a replica of a daisy, made of inlaid precious stones and diamonds. The Hijra year 1234 (1818-1819) and the artist's signature, Ahmad, are inscribed on the mounting ring. Iran, 1818-1819.
