His legs are crossed and in his left hand, he holds a letter or bill. His elbow rests on a fashionable card table where a silver inkwell stands. There is red drapery on his right. He is wearing a tan-striped waistcoat, brown frock coat, ruffled cravat, olive green breeches with silver knee buckles.
