Smallsword with Scabbard

Unknown Artist

Sword hilts and jewelry constructed of faceted and highly polished cut-steel beads were a distinctly English specialty and were immensely popular during the period from 1775 to 1810. They were manufactured in London, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, and in Matthew Boulton's well known factory in Birmingham.
