Toilet box
Unknown Artist
Boxes from Meissen toilet services do not survive in great numbers, and the decoration of the box is typical of Kakiemon-inspired painting on Meissen of the 1730s. The box relates in form and decoration to two boxes from the Sheafer Collection (see 1974.356.490a, b and 1974.356.491a, b).
