The Clash: London Calling - Mick Jones's shirt

During this period, many of the band's clothes were custom-made by students Alex Michon and Krystyna Kolowska. This shirt can be seen worn by Mick Jones in the Pennie Smith photo that appears on the back of the London Calling album. which was shot during the Take the 5th tour in September/October 1979. The band often wore each others' clothes. Joe Strummer had worn the same shirt when the band were filmed for the TV programme Alright Now, which was recorded in March 1979 and broadcast in June.
