Tammy Woodrow

ARCHIVED: This window installation is a celebration of Coventry’s creativity. For August 2021, The Show Windows spotlights five local artists who produce dynamic, emotional artworks that are creating a visual language that profiles a local Coventry dynamism.

The sculptural piece here, by Tammy, reminds us of the street furniture we encounter everyday as we traverse the city, making us think of her work, and the objects found as we wonder though Coventry, differently. Her works make us aware of their space, and our own, in society and the impact we can have on the space we occupy.

The Show Windows, which is produced as part of the Coventry City of Culture programme, is inspired by L Frank Baum (author of the Oz books) and his publication on the art of shop windows displays.

The Show Windows is co-produced in Partnership by Coventry City of Culture Trust, Coventry Business Improvement District and RIBA and curated by Charlie Levine. The Show Windows is funded by Arts Council England.
