Morning Fog

I woke to fog this morning

as if caught within a trance,

the world not what it seemed before

but frozen in a dreamlike dance.

Familiar yet unfamiliar silhouettes

amidst muffled muted tones

in a veil between worlds

a cloak of softness roams.
